From India:
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA): national regulator responsible for oversight and coordination.
Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB): under DGCA; appoints the Investigator-in-Charge and forms the technical investigation team.
International Participants:
U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB): participates as the state of manufacture for the Boeing 787, providing accredited representatives and technical advisors.
Representatives from affected states (UK, Portugal, Canada, India): may participate as observers or technical advisors, per ICAO Annex 13 protocols.
Manufacturers and OEMs:
Boeing: airframe and systems manufacturer.
GE Aerospace: manufacturer of the GEnx engines.
Both serve as formal participants under ICAO provisions and act under AAIB/NTSB oversight, contributing engineering data and system expertise.
Experienced pilots, aerospace engineers:
Flight data recorder (FDR/CVR) analysts, and black box recovery specialists.
Local authorities and emergency responders: Ahmedabad police and rescue teams assist in securing the site and documenting evidence.
